Palmer's Cocoa Butter is KING.

Dear darlings,

I just have to do another blog post about the 'Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula' - this stuff is GLORIOUS. All of my dry skin has literally disappeared! I am genuinely sitting at a sleepover now with my friends and we're all handing it around talking about its wonderful-tastic qualities.

And it smells like chocolate.

GLORIOUS I TELL YOU.

Apologies for the brief post. It's essay time and I need to write about Beckett. But I had to praise this beautiful stuff.

Lots of love and feel pretty always.

Dear beauties,

I thought I'd post my first cheeky little haul today! It's only a little one, but I had a few spare moments the other day when I was wandering around town in between rehearsals and meetings, so I popped into Boots and ended up picking up a few bits and bobs! I will provide links to everything down at the bottom. (By the way, sorry for the stock photos, I'm at uni and accidently left my camera at home!)

First thing I got was 'Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream' - basically a gorgeous little hand cream in a perfect handbag size.

I absolutely love this little hand cream, I've been getting some dry skin on the back of my hands recently with the weather and it soothes it beautiful. Also, it smells like CHOCOLATE, which is glorious. I haven't really been using it long enough to talk about long-term results but at the moment I think it's fabby.

Pros -
Lovely size
Soothing and moisturising
Choccie Woccie smell!

Cons-
None so far!

Next I got the 'Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation' - I got it in 'Soft Beige'. This was because I had just run out of my Estee Lauder one, the one I usually buy, and even though I'm very much a high-end foundation girl (Not because I'm a snob, because I find it so difficult to match my skintone myself!) I thought I would go for a cheeky high street buy.

I'm not a massive fan at the moment of this foundation to be honest. It's okay, and it will do for an emergency foundation, and it does last a long time, yet the colours are not a great range, I went for the second lightest as I do have fairly pale skin but I'm not porcelain, and it still looks a bit orange. It's also a little bit dry, so it's good if you want a really matte finish, but it does not lend itself to a glow.

Pros -
Long-lasting
Matte finish
Cheap as chips

Cons -
Very small colour range - orange toned
A bit dry, very very matte.

Next I bought 'Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner'
This eyeliner is really nice and cute. It goes on easy, and has a nice thickness of line. There's not too much you can say about it to be honest, it's a good buy, and is good value if you just want a standard liner with a standard thickness.

Pros-
Good colour
Cheap
Goes on easily
Stays all day and all night!
Easy to take off

Cons -
Not very thin so difficult for real precision lining, but for all other uses it is good.

Finally I a cheeky bit of hair dye! Not permament mind, only semi, because I'm a wimp! Nah, sometimes I think it's just nice to wash a little semi-permanent through my hair to give a fresh, new glow, and with hardly any damage at all.
The colour of this is gorgeous, and the shine is lovely! It's so easy and quick to do, with lovely results. My only qualm is that I think the colours are often a couple of shades darker than advertised, at least for the first two weeks or so, so maybe by a shade slightly lighter than the one you're going for if you're a bit scared of being too dark?

Pros -
Easy to apply
Strong, glossy colours
Pretty cheap
No unpleasant dye smell

Cons -
Shades are a bit darker than advertised
Stains EVERYTHING it touches!

And that's it! Just a little haul for now, but I may do a clothes one soon, exciting!

Lot's of love, and feel pretty always,

Dear Audreys.

Today I wanted to review my newest mascara, the Estee Lauder 'Sumptuous Extreme'. This mascara in one word, is fantastic. I absolutely love it. I used to be a strictly high-end mascara girl, and then I went through a stage of trying all the Rimmel and Maybelline ones, trying to find a cheaper one that would do the same job. Admittedly I did love some of these, and will do a blog post soon of my favourite high street/drugstore mascaras. However, this Estee Lauder buy is a true high-end mascara.

Pros -
The gold packaging screams of luxury, and is so so pretty.

The mascara goes on like a dream, and stays on all day

No smudging, even in the rain! No more hideous black under-eye rings!

Lashes are lengthened and volumised to a pretty, non spidery level.

Cons-
It takes a little while to dry, so if you are a double-applier kind of girl, you will have to wait a little bit longer.

It is a little bit expensive compared to your average drugstore mascara

Otherwise, I can't really find any problems with this mascara, it is definitely something I would re-purchase!

Love love and feel beautiful always!

Dear Marilyns,

I wanted to write to you to review the Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers, as they have got such a huge buzz about them right now. I wasn't sure about these, as I'm not a MASSIVE lipstick person. I love a cheeky red lip now and again but I'm not one for branching out into oranges or barbie pinks. I bought two different shades in the lip lacquers, the 'Luna' shade and 'Stellar'. There are eight colours in the range overall, and I wanted to get the ones that weren't your standard lipstick colour.

Pros - The colours of these lip lacquers are insane, they pop right off your face like it's literally been painted on, if you want your lips to really stand out, they're perfect.

The shine is really nice, and the colour lasts a long time.

They are fairly easy to apply, and are a really good price for a popular Rimmel product.

Cons - The consistency I thought was a little bit watery, I don't know whether this is just because I'm used to lipstick for colour more, but I felt like I was trying really hard not to go outside my lip line or get it all over my teeth!

The colours are bright, but if you don't match it with the right eye make-up they can look a bit funny, either too garish if you don't get enough, or way too drag queen if you go for a smokey eye.

The shine doesn't last long, if you love these then they are definitely a handbag lip product as it is necessary to re-apply!

However, after a few cons, I still think these are cheap enough to get them just to experiment with the amazing colour palette, and try something bright and a bit wild!

Available from Rimmel at £5.99 each.

Hope you are feeling gorgeous this week, bat your eyelashes and simper!

Best Friends.

I had a conversation with my mother recently, in which she told me she was worried about how me and my best friend seem to latch onto each other, and have no time for anyone else in the world.

This isn't true, I'm not some loner with only one friend, but me and my best friend definitely are closer than any other people I've met, we see each other pretty much every single day, and don't tend to go out without each other, I always go on holiday with her, and in general we pretty much come as a pair.

I see this as a positive aspect in my life, pretty much the most positive, but a lot of other people think it's stupid, because they think that neither of us can now do anything by ourselves, and that we have come completely reliant on the other one.

You know what? I genuinely don't care if I am. When I broke up with my last boyfriend, I was crying more than I've ever cried before, I rang her up in the middle of the night and she answered on the first ring and immediatly knew what had happened, we talked about it and within half an hour I was laughing again.
It wasn't through any kind of denial, I just realised that it didn't matter, I don't need anyone as long as I have her friendship.

"A certain source once said we are too dependant on each other, that source is probably correct."

You are too cool my friend =]

The morning after.

Ugh, you know that feeling the morning after a really good party, the one where you feel either super-cold or too hot, your ears are still ringing from the constant pounding bass that feels like it's stuck in your head forever, and you only have to glance down at your legs to see the effects of being reckless and crazy last night, you have more bruises, scratches and mud on your knees than a pack of six year olds in a playground.
Well that's exactly how I feel right now.
Last night was Aldeburgh carnival, now, I know what you're thinking, aren't carnivals for the elderly and kids who like toffee apples? Not anymore my friend, last night was one of the best beach parties I've ever been to, the only thing awkward about it was the fact that a lot of people seemed to know me, and I had no idea who they were. It was a lot of repeat situations of,
"Abi! Goh I haven't seen you in forever! How are you?!"
"Ohh...hey! You! Of course, the last time I saw you I was you know..doing..that thing!"

Maybe perhaps not that bad, but you get my drift anyhow.

However, after the extreme socialising I got up to last night, unfortunately I'm having to suffer today, and that means sitting around sams house, it's quieter than home, with almost a constant cup of tea in my hand, wearing my sunglasses around the house because I'm so tired and my eyes look so gross.

So all-in-all, it's rather an un-eventful day, unless I go out tonight and do it all again, I love summer.
